The area has seen some recent veterans success stories. We reported earlier this week that the Ohio Veterans Bonus has paid out more $73.5 million in claims since 2010. The local Military Veterans Resource Center has worked to offer more services. One study named Beavercreek the best place for veterans to live in the nation.
About 1 of every 13 people in Ohio is a veteran and five of the state's top 18 counties in veterans population are in our region, ensuring that veterans issues will remain important in this area.
