Adults 21 and older are welcome to attend. The Gloria Theatre is located at 216 S. Main St.
Gloria staff was looking for a way to round out the second season of its Stars on Stage series and looked to one of the biggest party nights of the year. Staci Weller, CEO of the Grandworks Foundation that runs the Gloria, said the idea was to bring a big-city vibe to downtown Urbana.
“It will be a rockin’ champagne-style Times Square glitter ball drop right here at the Gloria with NYC3 live in concert and Dayton’s best DJ, Nick Wright, to keep things hopping during NYC3′s breaks,” she said.
NYC3 performers Tyler Brunner, Cooper Hallstrom and Nick Ziobro will do songs from some of today’s biggest hitmakers including Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Shawn Mendes, Usher and others for attendees to dance to over two 45-minute sets. At midnight, a glitter ball drop and a champagne toast will mark the arrival of 2025.
“This is a huge undertaking, but we wanted to finish our 2024 season and bring in next year’s lineup with a bang,” said Weller.
Tickets cost $39-59 each depending on seating choice and include admission to the concert and party and complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Food, beverages and games will be available for additional charges.

The Stars on Stage series will return for its third year in 2025 with eight acts in various genres already booked including pop, classical, rock, country, big band and more. Weller is pleased with the public’s response to the series.
“In March of 2023 when we launched the Gloria’s reentry into professional performing arts, we knew it was quite a risky endeavor. It had been about 70 years of mostly movies, but sometimes, when you step out in faith, the people respond with enthusiastic appreciation and they have shown us that they truly love our Stars on Stage series,” she said.
