Emergency shelters were also opened overnight at the EUM Church in Greenville, but has since been moved to Greenville High School because of loss of power, the North Lewisburg Community Center in Champaign County, and at the Church of the Nazarene in Troy.

Authorities in Union City, Ohio, have issued a level 3 emergency and have asked residents in the city to go to EUM Church in Greenville.
In Auglaize County, the following locations have been designated as shelters for residents without power: Wapakoneta Area: Auglaize Acres on Route 501 Wapakoneta Manor: Elderly Only St. Marys Area: Holy Rosary Church Basement Buckland Area: Buckland Fire Department for heat only
Officials in Bellefontaine in Logan County have issued a state of emergency for the county. The sheriff in the county has asked motorists to stay off the roads because of numerous downed power lines and trees have made travel a dangerous situation. Authorities said that about 90 percent of the county is without power.
In Clark County, the engineer's office has closed Spangler Road from Lower Valley Pike to Union Road, as well as Lower Valley Pike near Old Mill Road. Officials said some homes along the Mad River have water seeping into their basement.
In Miami County, a car hydroplaned and went into the path of an oncoming car. Investigators said part of the problem was the high water on Route 55 at Horseshoe Bend Road near Troy. Authorities said the driver who lost control suffered serious injuries, while the other driver suffered minor injuries.
In Greene County, a Xenia Township neighborhood that was flooded last year is almost washed out again. The Goodwin family used a canoe to get to dry land on Wednesday.
In Miami County, ice continued to cause problems as firefighters had to rescue to drivers stranded in high water. The incident happened around 6 a.m. Thursday on Fenner Road near Pleasant Hill.
Officials at Dayton Power Light said there were about 90,000 people without power at the height of the storm. At this time, 55,000 residents continue without power. DP&L officials said most of the outages are in Shelby, Auglaize, Mercer, Darke and Logan counties.
