IHOP offers 58-cent ‘short-stack’ of pancakes today only

IHOP restaurants celebrate their 58th anniversary today, July 12 by offering customers a "short stack" (three) of Original Buttermilk Pancakes for 58 cents from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The offer is for dine-in only and is limited to one stack per person. A manager of the IHOP at 2460 N. Fairfield Road in Beavercreek confirmed that his restaurant is participating in the promotion.

That promotional anniversary price is four cents less than what the pancakes cost in 1958, when the first IHOP restaurant opened in a suburb of Los Angeles.

Also available through July 31 are IHOP’s “Paradise Pancakes” offered in three tropical flavors ― Strawberry Passion Fruit, Banana Macadamia Nut, and Pineapple Upside Down.

The Beavercreek IHOP opened in October 2015 and is the first of a planned seven locations in the Dayton region. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant seats 187 and employs about 120. A second location is in the works in Springfield. The locations of additional IHOPs have not been released.
