The Storybrooke Cafe at 8381 N. Main St. in the Randolph Plaza in Clayton — which applied to the state in late May for licenses to serve beer and wine at the bookstore cafe — will become The Scarlett Raven before the end of July, owner Natalie Lowry said on the shop's Facebook page and web site.

“From the flames of an old story, a new one rises in the form of The Scarlett Raven,” Lowry said in the post. “The Storybrooke Cafe has been transforming and will become The Scarlett Raven — your neighborhood gathering place for the coffee specialties you crave and refreshing cocktails during the smooth sounds of live entertainment events. So come early and stay late! Watch out for our calendar of coming events and feel the heat with us.”

Lowry said the store’s move has allowed for greater flexibility and more space, so she intends to increase the number of special events that the store hosts.

“Our guests have considerable interest in expanding our specialty line of drinks to carry specialty beers and wines,” Lowry said in May.
