Kroger Englewood Marketplace grand re-opening set

The Kroger Englewood Marketplace will host its grand re-opening celebration Friday, July 24, company officials announced. The celebration will continue through Sunday with entertainment and promotional giveaways.

Renovations at the Kroger Marketplace at 885 Union Blvd. represent a $2.4 million investment by the Kroger Co.

In addition to a new apparel department, the remodeled store also features a new Wine and Spirits Shop and a one-stop health-care destination, which includes an updated pharmacy and The Little Clinic, with a separate entrance.

“We want to thank our customers for being patient with us through this transition. My team and I are excited about the updates and the fresh look at our store,” said Ben Pyzik, store manager, in a statement.

An official ribbon cutting in the new apparel department is scheduled for 8 a.m. Friday.

The Kroger Englewood Marketplace employs about 350 workers.
