Local Doctor Found Not Guilty

Dr. Suresh Gupta was found not guilty Thursday evening after being accused of inappropriately touching several female patients.

The jury heard testimony from numerous witnesses, including Gupta himself. On Thursday he took the stand in his own defense, and admitted to touching the women, but only in a professional manner.

While on the stand, Gupta, 54, demonstrated to the jury how he examined the patients. He said he touched them only in a professional manner and not for sexual gratification.

Prosecutors said Gupta took advantage of four women who were undergoing treatment for pain.

Gupta was charged with four counts of gross sexual imposition.

He was a partner at Pain Management Associates in Riverside and Springboro.
