Northmont believes in testing and assessments, but the state of Ohio’s model is “badly broken and in need of drastic repair,” the resolution states.

The resolution also says, “the state’s accountability program includes unreliable test formats and ever-changing vendors accompanied by unsubstantiated and questionable student achievement levels that change whimsically and annually.”
The board also says that the district will “continue to meet its mission obligation; however, objects to the legislature’s current politicization of children in the name of accountability through more and more testing mandates.”
