Staffing changes at Vandalia-Butler City Schools

VANDALILA – The Vandalia-Butler school board will be welcoming a new Communications & Public Relations Coordinator, as Traci Hale-Brown has left to take a position with Oakwood City Schools as their Community Relations Director.

Anaka Johnson comes into the position with an associate degree from Sinclair Community College in multimedia journalism, an associate degree from ITT Technical Institute in information technology and multimedia.

Among other changes, Russ Garman is the new Curriculum Director, leaving his position as Smith Elementary principal. Ryan Rogers, assistant principal of Butler High School, will be leaving the high school to take over as principal of Smith Middle School. Finally, Ryan Williamson is replacing Rogers as assistant principal at Butler High School.

All these changes were approved at the monthly, regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
