The Fairborn Elder-Beerman distribution center that employed hundreds in its prime was listed for auction today.

The industrial property at 1340 East Dayton Yellow Springs Road is listed at a starting bid of $900,000.

The sale includes 20,540 square feet of office space, 95 truck doors with vision panels and seals, edge-of-dock levelers at 75 truck doors, pit levelers at 20 doors, 50 parking spaces for trailers and an addition 309 parking spaces.

Elder-Beerman’s parent company Bon-Ton filed for bankruptcy nearly one year ago. The company’s brands of stores all shut down by the end of August 2018, including all Dayton-founded Elder-Beerman stores.

The distribution center is owned by Stag Fairborn LLC, according to Greene County records. The LLC is registered in Delaware. The company bought the land and building for more than $9 million in 2015.
