Zimmerlin is currently the assistant city manager in Springdale, near Cincinnati.

Zimmerlin will be the first woman city manager of Clayton and the city’s third city manager, Rose said.
Before working in Springdale, Zimmerlin worked for the cities of Madeira and Xenia.
City council interviewed five candidates for the city manager position being vacated by Rose.
Clayton City Council contracted with Cincinnati-based Management Partners for an executive recruitment search. The city spent $17,990 to get the consulting help and find suitable applicants.
Management Partners conducted a nationwide search and received 28 applications.
Rose has been city manager since 2014. He is paid $126,000 per year.
Zimmerlin’s starting salary will $124,000 per year, according to her contract. She has signed a three-year contract with Clayton.
