Megan O’Leary, spokeswoman for Montgomery County Environmental Services, told the Dayton Daily News that the contractor for the project is American Suncraft.
The project will address paint deterioration, and the contract is for $1,657,000, O’Leary said.
She said the southern most tank is located at 190 North Johanna Drive in Centerville (east of Tower Heights Middle School).
The contractor will begin work in April and is scheduled to finish by October, O’Leary said.
The northern tank at 190 North Johanna Drive will be repaired and repainted in 2021 in the “Centerville North (2) Tank Rehabilitation” project.
“Both tanks will be repainted white, instead of the light green color they currently are” O’Leary said.

Centerville officials also continue to implement their plan to build a brand called Uptown that they say will help provide a strong sense of community and stimulate long-term economic growth.
Centerville will update its Architectural Preservation District, which includes about 90 business ranging from boutiques and salons to restaurants and professional services and residents.
Making the area a destination — an Uptown trip — offered the opportunity to freshen up the city’s business landscape, according to City Manager Wayne Davis.
The Uptown plan opens up a strategy to further develop the historic area near the intersection of Ohio 48 and Franklin Street.
