Polls now closed in Ohio for Election Day: Results soon

The polls are now closed and today’s election appeared to go well in the Dayton region.

Today’s ballot is filled with statewide, congressional, statehouse and county races. Some communities also have school levies and other tax issues on the ballot.

We had reporters today keeping an eye on the polls and talking to candidates on the ballot.

Board of election officials in area counties said turnout was low and no problems were reported.

“It’s obviously early in the day, but we don’t expect large crowds the rest of the day,” said Steve Harsman, deputy director of the Montgomery County Board of Elections..

Tonight we will have reporters with the candidates for governor and will bring you the latest results once the polls close.
