More than 14,400 feet of curb on 18 Washington Twp. streets, that is the equivalent to about 2.7 miles, will be replaced or repaired this year as part of the annual curb program, according to Public Works Director Mike Wanamaker,
This year’s program includes curb replacement on all or part of four streets located in the Penbrooke and Oakcreek South plats: Kings Run Road, Burgundy Lane, Provincetown Road from Kings Run to Eagle Creek Drive, and Yellowcreek Drive from Normandy Creek Drive to Shadycreek Drive.
More than 3,000 feet of partial replacement work will take place on nine additional streets in the Forest View, Normandy Green, Penbrooke and Yankee Street Estates plats.
“Our Public Works Department inspects and evaluates curbs in conjunction with our street improvement program. Curb is repaired and replaced prior to the beginning of the street improvement program when possible,” said Township Administrator Jesse Lightle. “With 152 linear miles of road in Washington Twp., it’s important to invest annually in upkeep of our infrastructure.”
Streets receiving partial replacement are: Estates Drive from Green Park Drive to the east end, Estates Court, Waldheim Court, Southbrook Drive from Paragon Road to Green Park Drive, Paragon from Alex-Bell Road to Southbrook, Norman Cross Court, Provincetown Road from Yankee Street to Kings Run, Garrison Court, and Tarryton Road.
Additional curb work may be added as the program budget allows, Wanamaker said.

Normandy is located solely in the township from Paragon to south of Tours Lane, but the rest of the Normandy project includes sections in Centerville.
