GUIDE: The best Easter egg hunts around town
The event is hosted by the Fairborn Area Chamber of Commerce, the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Company Grade Officers’ Association and Foy Stores.
Children will be divided into three age groups: 1-3, 4-6 and 7-10. Children in the 1-3 years-old category are permitted to have a parent or relative assist them.
After the hunt, children will go to the Fairborn YMCA gym for prizes, including special prize certificates and bikes.
Event organizers said the hunt is “believed to be the longest-running” in the area. Businesses, individuals and organizations have made cash donations in the past, organizers said, to defray the cost of the 10,000 eggs and 2,000 prizes.
