$14K in drugs seized during OSP traffic stop

Troopers seized more than $14,000 of drugs Friday during a traffic stop on Ohio 129.

John Troxell, 22, of Hamilton, was arrested for possession and trafficking in marijuana and possession of hash, both felonies, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers stopped Troxell for an alleged speed violation on Ohio 129 and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, investigators said.

Troopers found more than three pounds of marijuana and more than 27 grams of hash in the vehicles, OSP said.

Detectives said the drugs had an estimated street value of $14,550.
