Festival Chairman Matt Watkins said movies have played a big role in his family's life and the theme was selected with the help of his wife and four children.
A Troy native, Watkins said his family has been involved in the festival from its first year.
The festival story line, he said, is the dozens of nonprofit organizations who use the event as their largest and sometimes only fundraiser each year.
Volunteers are the stars of the festival, he said.
The 41st festival will be June 3 and 4.
