After arriving at the residence, the man exited from the bushes and started shooting, said Trooper Ryan Davis with Indiana State Police. Davis said the man was found dead in the bushes.
Davis said there was an exchange of gunfire between police and the suspect. Three Union City officers responded to the initial call, however it’s still unclear how many of those officers fired their weapons, Davis said.
The suspect’s Ford pickup truck was found less than a block from the scene and was surrounded by police tape.
