However, Acton’s advisory uses strong language to point out that the coronavirus is rapidly becoming the top killer in the state, eclipsing 2018 car crash deaths and soon deaths by suicide.

Gov. Mike DeWine on Tuesday said that Acton would sign the new advisory, which also urges older Ohioans and others at high risk to stay home.

“The coronavirus is still with us, it is still dangerous and deadly, and at no other time in our lives will our individual actions play a greater role in saving the lives of others, even complete strangers,” the document states.

It also urges people to wear face masks, to practice social distancing and recommends that everyone continue to stay home as much as possible to limit the spread of COVID-19.
