The city of Clayton and the Northmont Chamber of Commerce will welcome a new animal clinic today with a groundbreaking ceremony at 1 p.m.

North Main Animal Clinic’s Drs. Beth Weisberger and Nicole Tebbe and their staff will be in attendance.

The clinic is 5,320 square feet and will offer the Northmont region with care for the community’s pets and animals.

It signifies a $1 million investment in the Clayton community, according to Clayton Director of Development Jack Kuntz.

The new facility is located at 8505 N. Main St. at the northwest corner of North Main and Old Salem Road.

It is the first building to use the new North Main Street Overlay standards. This demonstrates the city’s emphasis on the new development standards along the commercial corridor, city leaders said.

The groundbreaking ceremony is today at 1 p.m. on North Main Street.
