2 arrested following drug-related search at Piqua home

Two people were arrested after Piqua police executed a drug-related search at a home early Friday morning, according to investigators.

Police conducted the search around 7 a.m. Friday at the home in the 1700 block of Cambridge Street.

Leneil V. Alexander, 62, and Jesse L. Miller, 39, both of Piqua, were arrested on drug charges after the search, Piqua police said in a media release Friday.

Alexander is facing charges of drug trafficking and illegal manufacturing of drugs, investigators said. He is also facing charges connected to a drug investigation that resulted in a different search warrant in July, police said.

Miller is facing charges of drug possession.

Both have been booked into the Miami County Jail.

During the search, police recovered a large amount of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and money, investigators said.

The search Friday was due in part to information from citizens about drug activity, police said.
