Miami Twp. is seeking applicants for an assistant administrator.

The position has been vacant for several years, as the township decided not to fill it since 2014, when Greg Rogers – who formerly held the job - was hired as administrator.

The township has “not made a complete decision to fill that position,” Miami Twp. Board of Trustees Vice President John Morris said.

Candidates should “possess knowledge of township government, best practices in local government management and human resources, excellent organization and communication skills,” according to the job posting.

“Responsibilities will include assisting the township administrator in managing and directing the daily operations of departmental activities of the township,” the posting states.

The salary range is $74,542 to $109,777 depending on qualifications, according to the township.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration or a related field and three years public sector experience is required, according to the township. A juris doctorate or a master’s degree in public administration.
