Bones found in Sugarcreek Twp. belong to animal, chief says

Sugarcreek Twp. Police are investigating after someone reported finding bones under a mattress, according to initial dispatch reports.

Officers responded to the 1800 block of Sugar Maple Place around 10:30 a.m.

Sugarcreek Twp. Police Chief Michael Brown said the bones belonged to an animal.

Police taped blocked off a portion of the wooded area behind some homes in the neighborhood for a couple hours.  Several detectives also responded to assist in the investigation.
