Library event explores Ohio Bigfoot

Bigfoot in Ohio will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. May 6 at Centerville Library, 111 W. Spring Valley Road.

Mike Miller and Mike Feltner, with the Ohio Night Stalkers, will share video of the 1967 Patterson-Gimlin film and display items related to their research. Participants will also hear 2014 audio from Adams County.

Class focuses on capturing memories

My Life Inscribed will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. May 6 at the Lathrem Senior Center, 2900 Glengarry Drive.

Participants will receive a bound book to help capture experiences, stories and life lessons. The class will explore thought-provoking questions and interview tips so participants can complete their book at home.

Photos and diaries that help recall memories are encouraged.

The cost is $25 for Lathrem members, $30 for residents and $35 for nonresidents.

Wildflower walk to be held May 6

A wonderful wildflower walk will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. May 6 at the Pondview Park, 2320 Pondview Drive.

This walk is available to all ages and abilities. Cost is $5 for residents and $7 for nonresidents.

Paws to Read will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. May 6 at Wright Memorial Public Library, 1776 Far Hills Ave.

Elementary age children of all reading levels are welcome to read to therapy dogs.

Speaker series continues at library

The Oakwood Historical Society and Wright Memorial Public Library will present The Lost Gettysburg Address as part of the Far Hills Speaker Series.

The event will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. May 7 at the library, 1776 Far Hills Ave.

Author David Dixon will lead a discussion about the political context of the Gettysburg dedication.

Disney High School Musical Jr runs May 5-21

The Landmark Children’s Theatre Company Production presents Disney High School Jr, which will be held May 5-21.

This musical follows the story of Troy and Gabriella, who decide to audition for their school’s winter musical.

The production will be held at the Town Hall Theatre, 27 N. Main St., and is geared toward children ages four and older.

The show is approximately 90 minutes.
