BUTLER TWP. – Fire Chief Dan Alig will serve as acting township administrator while Erika Vogel is on maternity leave, township trustees announced during its meeting Monday. The resolution authorizing the temporary assignment was approved at the Sept. 26 trustee meeting.

In other news Monday, the trustees approved a change to the fee payment schedule for solid waste collection and disposal. Residents will see a 25 cent increase per month for regular service and low volume service.

Other actions included the trustees’ approval of an agreement with Montgomery County OVI Task Force. The agreement will allow the township to share a $224,000 grant with 20 other agencies while taking part in OVI checkpoints, extra patrol, and enforcement using reimbursed overtime expenses.
