Cadets graduate from peace officer training

A class of cadets graduated from the Greene County Career Center’s adult Peace Officer Basic Training program on March 10.

Thrity cadets of the Greene County Career Center's adult Peace Officer training program have graduated.

Completion of the program allows graduates to test to become certified law enforcement officers in the State of Ohio.

Four of the academy graduates who have recently been involved in critical situations while serving as officers were recognized. They include Katie Barnes from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Jeff Moore and Brian Adkins from Xenia Police Department and J.P. Jung from Kettering Police Department.

Completion of the basic training program allows graduates to test to become certified law enforcement officers in Ohio. Others were recognized at the ceremony as well, including cadets receiving special awards and academy graduates recently involved in critical situations.
