Driver taken to hospital, cited after car ends up between semi-truck, barrier on I-70

UPDATE @ 8:30 a.m. Feb. 11

The driver of a black Chevrolet Cruze that ended up between a concrete median and a semi-tractor trailer was injured and taken to a local hospital.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the driver of the Cruze was taken to Soin Medical Center after being trapped in the vehicle. The driver is expected to be okay.

The driver, who has not been identified, was cited for failure to control.

A car ended up stuck with its nose-down and wheels up between a concrete median and a semi-truck after a crash occurred on I-70 near Ohio 4 Sunday afternoon.

The wreck, which was described as “significant” on the Bethel Twp. Fire Department’s Facebook page, was reported in the westbound lanes around 5 p.m.

Details about the reported entrapment crash, including possible injuries, were not immediately available.

The crash is being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Springfield Post.

Enon crews, in addition to the Bethel Twp. fire officials responded to the crash scene as well.
