Mother, 2 children injured in crash east of Troy

A woman and her two children have been treated and released from area hospitals following a two-vehicle crash this afternoon east of Troy.

Two juveniles were injured in the crash, including a 15-year-old who was taken by CareFlight. The teen was flown as a “precaution,” according to Miami County Sheriff’s deputies.

The crash was reported around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of state Route 41 and South Hufford Road.

The mother was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center near Troy and her two young children were taken to Dayton Children’s Medical Center, where they were all treated and released, deputies said.

State Route 41 was shut down for over an hour due to the crash and investigation. According to deputies, a gray car pulled from a stop sign into the path of a white car.

The crash remains under investigation, and deputies said charges are pending.
