Casstown man, 81, accused of rape involving child

An 81-year-old Casstown man is facing a rape and drug charge in connection to an alleged incident over the weekend involving a victim under the age of 13, according to court records.

Norman Smock remains in the Miami County Jail on a $100,000 bond following his initial appearance in Miami County Municipal Court Thursday morning.

Miami County County deputies are investigating the incident and Smock was arrested Wednesday morning on the charges, records show.
