Sheriff’s deputies tell News Center 7 the school resource officer recognized the suspect vehicle, went to an address and found the vehicle still covered in dirt and mud.
Deputies interviewed the suspect and they said he admitted to causing the damage and getting the vehicle stuck at the field.

The same field driven over on Saturday was hit by major vandalism in October 2017. A teen later admitted to “doing doughnuts” on the field.
That time, the football field was ruined with deep ruts and missing turf, and the last game of the season had to be played elsewhere, said Chad Hayes, Wee Arrows spokesman.
Damage appears minimal this time.
“It doesn’t look that bad,” Hayes said.
Damage in October 2017 was in excess of $2,000. Luckily, Randy Creech, owner of Lawn Plus in West Alexandria, stepped up and made repairs free of charge. Not only did he fix the field, he set out to make Raynor Park the best football field in the county.

Hayes said Creech definitely pulled it off, which is why Saturday’s incident was particularly worrisome from Hayes and other Wee Arrows board members.
“There’s no reason why anyone should drive on that field,” Hayes said.
The incident last year also prompted Bethel Twp. leaders to improve security with cameras at the park that cover the field.
While the Wee Arrows were hit with some bad news, they also had good news. The Wee Arrows cheerleaders took first place Saturday at a national cheer competition in Florida, Hayes said.
