Cedar Point will open its gates for the 2018 season May 5 and 6.

Thrill seekers will get their chance to ride the much anticipated Steel Vengeance™, the world's first hyper-hybrid roller coaster.

The roller coaster stands 205 feet over the park and shatters 10 world records, including tallest, fastest and longest hybrid coaster, steepest drop on a hybrid coaster, most inversions on a hybrid roller coaster, and the roller coaster with the most airtime (the feeling of weightlessness over large hills), according to a press release.

Steel Vengeance-themed food will be served at several eateries in the park such as the “Steel Vengeance Brownie Bandit” at Toft's Ice Cream Parlor.

The park's FrontierTown added new food locations including Sidewinder Sue's and Miss Keat's Smokehouse.

The public can also shop from a variety of new souvenir shops in FrontierTown and Point Plaza.

Guests staying at the new beachfront Hotel Breakers can take advantage of Early Entry, the chance to enter the park an hour before the general public.

Platinum Pass holders can take advantage of unlimited admission to the park, water park, and free parking.
