Centerville will join the parade to the call of “Let’s Have a Parade,” the iconic phrase that has signaled the start of every Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade since 1924.
Centerville was selected from more than 100 applicants as one of nine bands to march in the 94th edition of the parade.
“Over the years, Centerville High School has carved out its own, unique voice in the marching arts, performing exciting jazz arrangements to the delight of crowds across the nation,” Wesley Whatley, creative producer, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, said in a prepared statement.
"The Macy's Band Selection Committee is always on the lookout for programs who set themselves apart and excel. We are thrilled and proud to welcome back The Centerville Jazz Band to the 2020 Macy's Parade."
