Centerville man critically injured in Greene County crash on U.S. 35

A Centerville man is in critical condition after crashing a car into the back of a semitrailer on U.S. 35 in Beavercreek Twp. early Tuesday morning, according to state troopers.

The crash was reported in the westbound lanes of U.S. 35 at the Trebein Road intersection around 3:10 a.m.

The driver of a car, identified as Samueal Nkruman, 28, crashed into the back of a semitrailer that was stopped at the traffic light, investigators said.

As the semi accelerated through the intersection, the car, partially trapped under the trailer, was dragged around 150 feet until the semi driver noticed the crash, according to state troopers.

Nkruman was transported to Miami Valley Hospital and is in critical condition, state troopers said.

The driver of the semi, whose identity was not immediately available, was not injured in the crash.

Investigators said Nkruman will be cited for assured clear distance ahead.

The westbound lanes of U.S. 35 were shut down until around 5 a.m.
