With school shootings in the spotlight across the country, school safety is a big issue.
New Carlisle resident Linda Dunkelberg has lived less than a half mile from Tecumseh High School for more than 20 years, and is in favor of the program.

"I have a lot of friends that have students in this school and a lot of the kids are worried about everything that's been going on in schools," said Dunkelberg.
Both districts would pay $50,000 and the county would cover the remaining $70,000.
"I would pay it for the taxes and everything," Dunkelberg said. "I think it's money well spent.
If approved by the county, the goal is for the program to take place in the 2018-2019 school year.
