Clearcreek Township police execute search warrant related to stolen ambulance

A search warrant related to the theft of the ambulance from Fire Station 22 was executed Saturday night, according to Clearcreek Township police.

No arrests were made yet, but officers continue to interview potential suspects and witnesses.

FIRST REPORT:

A Clearcreek Township Fire District ambulance was stolen Saturday afternoon.

While crews from Fire Station 22, located on East Lytle Five Points Road, were responding to a vehicle fire, someone broke into the station and stole an ambulance around 12:30 p.m., according to the district.

It appears that those involved in the theft entered the fire station by breaking a window.

The ambulance was recovered at the downtown Dayton Children’s Hospital around 1 p.m. with no apparent damage.

Initial reports indicated Clearcreek Township officers along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Montgomery County officers all responded to the theft.
