ajc.com

This week on Cloudy with a Chance of Podcast, Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs talks with two special guests about the 50th Anniversary of the Moon landing.

WHIO Anchor Cheryl Mchenry tells her story of what it was like watching the fuzzy, black and white pictures, live on television as Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon. She also tells the story of why Neil and his family decided to settle in the Miami Valley and his favorite local ice cream shop he went to daily.

Vrydaghs also talks with Boonshoft Museum of Discovery Astronomy Educator Joe Childers about what made the mission so important and what we've learned since that historical day 50 years ago.
