After a hiatus from performing, controversial comedian Louis C.K. is back on tour and coming to the Dayton area.

Louis C.K. will be at the Dayton Funny Bone for a five-show stop between Friday and Dec. 29. The show is for attendees ages 21 and older, and tickets start at $35.

In November 2017, the New York Times published a report after five women came forward and said Louie C.K. had sexually harassed and intimidated them. The allegations created a cloud of controversy over the comedian who had sold out Madison Square Garden eight times.

A day after the article was published, Louie C.K. released a public statement that said, “I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen.”

Since making his return this year, ticket prices are a fraction of what they were and venues tend to cater local crowds of a few hundred, according to reports.

In 2012, Louie C.K. won a Peabody Award, and he has received six Primetime Emmy Awards, as well as numerous awards for The Chris Rock Show, Louie, and his stand-up specials Live at the Beacon Theater and Oh My God. He has won the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album twice.

Tickets to the December show can be purchased at standupmedia.com. There are still tickets available to every performance.

The Funny Bone is located at 88 Plum St. at The Greene Town Center.
