Catholic Social Services of Miami Valley is asking for donations of large boxes to help with the organization’s grocery delivery program.

As part of efforts to limit person-to-person contact in response to the coronavirus pandemic, the organization’s Dayton food pantry is providing pre-packaged meals instead of their usual “choice” program.

Large boxes are needed so that Catholic Social Services can deliver a week’s worth of groceries to their clients.

Anyone with boxes can bring them to 922 W. Riverview Ave. in Dayton on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The organization is also accepting volunteers, but limiting them to those ages 18 to 50. Volunteers cannot have any flu or cold symptoms. They also should not have any respiratory issues, such as asthma, and need to be able to lift heavy boxes.

Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Mike Hoendorf hoendorfm@cssmv.org.
