The Ohio Investigative Unit, which has statewide jurisdiction over all liquor permit holders, has been tasked with enforcing policies associated with COVID-19 compliancy. Enforcement may include criminal actions, administrative citations and liquor license revocations.
LOCAL: Health district monitors workplace coronavirus outbreak in Clark County
The statewide public health order regarding bars and restaurants requires six feet of social distancing between workers and customers and mandates that patrons may only consume food and alcohol while sitting.
The OVI issued two other citations - one in Columbus and one in Stark County. Agents did not witness infractions during other compliance checks, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
