Coronavirus: Nursing students dive into career early to help with pandemic
“Terrace Park, let this serve as your reminder that tomorrow is trash day,” wrote Erin Satterwhite, Monday morning in a Facebook post. “So, when you’re taking those cans and bags to the curb tonight, this is your chance to SHINE. You walk that driveway like it’s the hottest runway in Milan, hunni. Because if you’re gonna take out the trash during a quarantine, make it #fashion.”
A family with style to spare, the Satterwhite’s had their Easter outfits picked long before coronavirus changed all plans to wear the fresh threads anywhere besides the living room.
“I’m one of those moms who loves to take pictures when we’re all dressed up and I knew we wouldn’t get that chance to,” Satterwhite said. “I also wanted something to commemorate this crazy time that we’re going through.”

The Satterwhite children, Audrey, 8, and Declan, 6, were a little confused why they were getting glammed-up for chores.
“At this point, my family is kind of used to my crazy ways — especially David (Erin’s husband), there’s very few questions when these kinds of things get started,” Satterwhite said. “The kids were like, ‘We’re posing on trash cans? OK, I mean, but why?’ And I was like ‘Well, just because it’s funny.’ And they were like, ‘alright.’”
That was all the explanation Audrey and Declan needed before putting on their shades and beginning their driveway modeling careers.
“Their little, serious model poses just had me dying,” Satterwhite said. “They just completely got into character.”
As families are all left to wonder how long this home-bound lifestyle will last, Satterwhite said she and David have been really trying to find ways to make these uncertain times fun. A couple weeks ago, the family even did a Footloose music video — quarantine style, complete with professional movie editing by a family friend.
The adorable video can be seen on YouTube by searching "Satterwhite Family Footloose Quarantine Video".
“For me, obviously I’m a person who likes to get dressed up,” Satterwhite said. “And yes, quarantine attire is sweatshirt and leggings, super comfy. But I miss my fun clothes, my work clothes.”
Last week, Satterwhite brought back her favorite bright lipsticks to wear “just because.”
“I’m just going to wear this bold, hot pink lipstick because it’s Tuesday. Who cares,” Satterwhite said. “I feel like these little pieces of normalcy help. Yes, we lay about and watch TV, too. But we get dressed, we have some routine and we try to make some events so that the days don’t feel so monotonous.”
