Coronavirus: Miami County reports 19 deaths; 16 connected to nursing homes

Four more deaths were reported Tuesday, bringing the total to 19 in Miami County associated with the coronavirus.

Of those, 16 were patients of two nursing homes, where a cluster of cases affected staff and residents of Koester Pavilion in Troy and SpringMeade Health Center in Tipp City.

The other three were due to community spread, Miami County Public Health officials said in an email.

There are 122 positive COVID-19 cases in the county, with an age range of less than 1 year to 96 years involving 71 females and 51 males with 46 hospitalizations.
