Wright State food pantry giving away gift cards to help students buy groceries

Wright State University’s Raider Food Pantry is giving away $2,500 in gift cards to help students impacted by coronavirus buy groceries.

The food pantry is giving away 125 $20 gift cards.

Recipients will be chosen from random drawings on April 15, May 15 and June 15.

Those who do not receive a gift card this month will be automatically put in the drawing for the following month.

The food pantry is funding the giveaway with donations, sponsors and reserves saved over the last 10 years.

It is also currently accepting donations to continue serving students.

A distribution program providing emergency grocery bags with three days’ worth of food to students is ongoing as well.
