Last week, Russell appeared in court to answer to charges, stemming from a 6-hour standoff with Sidney police on South Main Avenue.
He faced three charges as the result of the standoff, and now he has been indicted by the Shelby County Grand Jury on 10 additional charges as the result of the courtroom brawl.
Russell was arraigned before Shelby County Common Pleas Judge James Stevenson. The charges include nine counts of assault and one count each of felonious assault, intimidating an attorney, vandalism and harassing another with bodily fluids.
The judge will need to appoint an attorney for Russell since the public defender’s office is unable to represent him due to assaulting one of their own
The judge entered pleas of not guilty on Russell’s behalf, but he objected and entered his own plea.
His bond is set at $500,000.
