As Wright-Patterson Air Force Base looks to move into Phase 2 and increased personnel footprints, the 88th Air Base Wing and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center contracting worked to ensure work facilities are free of trash and restrooms are cleaned more frequently.

“The custodial service contracts for the base have been modified to increase restroom cleaning from twice weekly to daily cleaning Monday through Friday, excluding holidays,” said Amir Mott, 88th Civil Engineer Group deputy director. “The centralized trash removal has been increased from once to twice a week.”

The Area A changes are effective June 15. The Area B, Child Development Center, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Air Force Institute of Technology and Air Force Research Laboratory contracts are effective July 1.

“This is very good news, and I appreciate all the work done by our amazing team to make this happen,” said Col. Tom Sherman, 88th Air Base Wing commander. “As we look into moving to Phase 2 in our return to full capacity, it is imperative to provide our returning workforce a clean and safe environment so they can continue their important work.”
