Dayton fire crews were dispatched around 4:49 a.m. and when they arrived, residents of the home were already evacuated.
There was a visible fire in the basement through the window, according to officials.
They were able to knock out the fire quickly and no one suffered injuries as a result.
Due to crews having to shut the water supply off, as well as the potential of smoke inhalation, the family will not be able to immediately return home.

Crews are on scene of a fire that occurred in the 400 block of S. Kilmer Street early Sunday morning.
They were dispatched around 4:49 a.m., per initial reports.
