Crews investigate possible gas leak in Yellow Springs

Police and EMS crews responded to a report of a strange odor, possibly a gas leak, at a business located in the 300 block of Xenia Avenue in Yellow Springs at approximately 9 p.m. Friday night.

The Smoking Octopus is one of the shops located inside of the building. One of the owners of the business said a strange smell was detected shortly before 9 p.m. and a 9-1-1 call was made to police. EMS crews and police were investigating the source of the odor. The structure is located next to the village’s new Mills Park Hotel, which is under construction.
