Body found near Germantown Pike and Route 4 identified

UPDATE @ 7:58 p.m.

A Dayton man found dead near Germantown Pike and Route 4 has been identified.

David Hackett, 64, was found at approximately 12:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

We are working to learn the cause of his death.

UPDATE @ 2:35 p.m.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed the body found in Jefferson Twp. to not be suspicious, according to a release from the Montgomery County Sheriff.

The coroner’s office has since removed the body from the scene.

The case remains under investigation.

Officials say the body found near Germantown Pike and Route 4 doesn’t seem suspicious.

Police initially responded to reports of a body on Route 4 around 12:20 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to a scene around 12:20 p.m. on reports of a body found on Route 4 near the 5400 block of Germantown Pike.
