UPDATE: Driver charged with OVI in wrong-way crash on Ohio 129 in Liberty Twp.

UPDATE @ 3:45 p.m.: A Cincinnati man has been charged with OVI for this morning's wrong-way crash on Ohio 129.

Tanner Stephens, 19, of Birchwood Court in Cincinnati, entered Ohio 129 at Hampshire Drive traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes for about seven miles until ending up in the median near the Cincinnati-Dayton Road exit, according to Sgt. Kim Peters.

UPDATE @ 10:50 a.m.:

The driver of a gray Honda Civic has been taken to the hospital for observation after traveling the wrong way on Ohio 129, according to Butler County Sheriff’s Sgt. Kim Peters.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes from Hamilton before crashing in the median. Two other vehicles were involved and in the median after the incident, but here are no reported injuries.

INITIAL REPORT

Emergency units are at the scene of a vehicle that has crashed after traveling the wrong way on eastbound Ohio 129.

The vehicle has reportedly flipped in the median just before the Cincinnati-Dayton Road exit.

Other vehicles may have been hit or spun out to avoid vehicle, according to emergency dispatch traffic. There were three vehicles in the median, but no injuries have been reported.

Crews were first dispatched at about 9:50 a.m. on the report of a vehicle traveling the wrong way eastbound in the westbound lane near Fairfield Twp.
