Dryer fire extinguished at Beavercreek house

Firefighters were able to contain a fire that broke out in a Beavercreek home to a dryer, according to investigators.

No damage was reported to the structure but there were heavy smoke conditions inside when firefighters first arrived, officials said.

Crews are working to ventilate the house and clear the smoke out.

No injuries were reported.

Dayton Xenia Road was partially blocked between Grange Hall Road and the I-675 overpass while crews were on scene.

FIRST REPORT

Firefighters have responded to reports of a house fire on Dayton Xenia Road in Beavercreek Wednesday morning.

Crews reported heavy smoke inside the house in the 4100 block of Dayton Xenia Road after the fire was first reported around 9:15 a.m.

Emergency scanner traffic indicates the fire was located in a dryer and has been contained.

No injuries have been initially reported.
