Dad’s quick action ends house fire threat in Vandalia, captain says

The man was taken to a hospital from the house in the 1100 block of Lansdale Court, Capt. Spitzel said. Damage to the home was minimal and the family has been allowed back into their home.

Crews were dispatched about 6 p.m. on a report of a possible structure fire. Spitzel said there was no fire when crews arrived.
